YOUR PRACTICE IS PERSONAL
Privacy, plainly.
Diurna is being prepared for release. This page describes the current app and website design; purchase and hosting disclosures will be reviewed before launch.
Your words belong to you.
Reading history, saved passages, and private reflections are stored on your device. On signed-in devices, they sync through your private iCloud database. They are not sent to Diurna’s quote server or its AI assistant. Simulators use local storage.
The daily quote service.
The app and widgets request an edition using a time zone. The server does not need a Diurna reader account and does not receive your saved collection. Hosting providers may process network metadata, including IP addresses, to operate and secure the service.
Optional tips.
Diurna uses Apple’s in-app purchases and RevenueCat for an optional consumable tip jar. Purchase processing may involve transaction details and a RevenueCat-generated anonymous identifier. Diurna does not receive your payment-card details. No feature requires a tip.
Optional app analytics.
The iOS app includes optional TelemetryDeck analytics, controlled by “Share anonymous usage” in Settings. When configured and enabled, it sends basic interaction events, app and device metadata, and a hashed device identifier. Reflections, searches, chosen passages, iCloud identities, and RevenueCat customer identifiers are not included. Debug builds and UI tests do not send analytics. Read the TelemetryDeck privacy policy.
Website hosting.
This site runs on Vercel and requests the public daily edition from the Railway-hosted API. We have not added advertising trackers, analytics scripts, a mailing list, or marketing cookies. Vercel and Railway may retain operational logs. The editorial dashboard uses a secure session cookie to authenticate editors.
Reminders and AI.
Reminders are optional local notifications. AI is used only to help editors consider existing library passages; it does not receive reader reflections or automatically approve editions.
Contact.
A dedicated support address will be available before the app launches. Diurna is made by Timko Labs.
